Refined flour is a finely-milled wheat flour used to make a wide variety of Indian breads such as parathas and naan. Turmeric
 
Turmeric is the rhizome or underground stem of a small herbaceous plant Curcuma longa. The whole rhizome is a rough tuberous finger like mass with creamy to dark brown outer scaly skin and dull orange internal flesh. The plant is identical to Ginger and belongs to the same family, Zingiberaceae.

Turmeric
 
Maize, is of American origin, and after wheat and rice, it is the most important cereal grain in the world. It provides nutrition to both humans (33.3%) and animals (66.6 %). Serves as basic raw material for the production of starch, oil and protein, alcoholic beverages, food sweeteners and more recently fuel. Special crops grown primarily for food include sweet corn and popcorn, although dent, starchy or floury and flint maize are also widely used as food. Flint maize is also used as feed. Immature ordinary corn on the cob either boiled or roasted is widely consumed.
 
Maize contains 60 to 68% starch and 7 to 15% protein. Opaque seeded types are more nutrition’s and contains a high percentage of essential amino acids. The embryo which forms about 12% of the whole grain is the source of protein, fats and sugars. Yellow maize is the richest sources of Vitamin-A. Maize has more riboflavin than wheat or rice and is rich in phosphorous and potash.

Yellow Split Peas
 
Split peas are an agricultural or culinary preparation consisting of the dried, peeled and split seeds of Pisum sativum. They are peeled, in that in addition to not being in the seed pod in which they grew, the splitting process also removes the dull colored outer skin of the pea. They come in yellow and green varieties. The peas are round when harvested and dried. Once dry, after the skin is removed, the natural split in the seed's cotyledon can be manually or mechanically separated, in part to encourage faster cooking due to increasing the surface area exposed to heat.
 
In markets, both the green and the yellow varieties of split pea are found in their respective selections, bagged by color.
 
 
 
Dark Red Kidney Beans
 
Just as its name suggests, the kidney bean is shaped like a kidney. Since these dark red beans hold their shape really well during cooking and readily absorb surrounding flavors, they are a favorite bean to use in simmered dishes. Kidney beans that are white in color are known as cannellini beans. Kidney beans and other beans such as pinto beans, navy beans and black beans are known scientifically as Phaseolus vulgaris.

Red Split Lentils
 
Lentils are high in protein, ranging from 22 percent to 35 percent. Lentils are used extensively in Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine. Lentils also can be used for livestock feed; however, only small amounts of low-grade Lentils or large volumes of low-quality Lentils resulting from occasional weather related production problems are used in livestock rations. Normally, Lentils, unlike field peas, are neither grown for nor used to feed livestock. Historically, Lentils were used widely in India, Southwest Asia and the Mediterranean areas in the form of split Lentils, and they still are an important source of dietary protein in these areas. Approximately 65 percent to 70 percent of current world lentil production is in India, Turkey and Canada
 
Lentils are classified into two groups by seed size: Chilean or large-seeded and Persian or small-seeded. Cotyledon color varies: yellow, red or green.
